§ 4-51. Limit on number of malt liquor and light wine licenses.

  • The number of licenses issued by the city to sell malt liquor containing alcohol in excess of 3.2 percent by weight and not in excess of five percent by weight and/or light wines containing not in excess of 14 percent of alcohol by weight as defined herein for sale at retail by the drink for consumption on the premises where sold, within the city, is hereby limited to one such license for each 500 population of the city, as shown by the last preceding federal census, and one license for any major fraction remaining in excess of each 500 population in the city as shown by such census.
