§ 2-229. Bond required.

Before entering upon the duties of his office, the city treasurer shall give a bond to the city, to be approved by the board of aldermen, in the sum of $10,000.00, with two or more good and sufficient securities, conditioned that he will duly account for and pay over all moneys that may come into his hands by virtue of his office as city treasurer and faithfully perform the duties of such office.
